If you want to make donation in my father's memory... As long as I can remember, my father had a love of all things living. Whether it was plant or animal he took a special interest in it. Once when my sister found a rabbit, my father took the rabbit to the Animal Welfare Association. Many of my father's health conditions can be directly or indirectly attributed to diabetes. It affects over 7% of the population of the United States. Just like my father, while you may not die from diabetes, it can cause a multitude of other fatal conditions. I suffer from this disease as well. Hopefully the efforts of the American Diabetes Association will one day lead to a cure. The National Kidney Foundation works toward curing kidney disease so no one will need to spend hours per week on dialysis as my father did.
